Postdoctoral Researcher Offer

OFFER DESCRIPTION

The Excellence Unit “Economic Management for Sustainability” (GECOS) is looking for a researcher who is able to joint to excellent research group. The objective of the contract is to promote the research of the GECOS Excellence Unit, by incorporating a candidate with the necessary skills and initiative to carry out high-level research.

• CONTRACT PERIOD: January-December 2024.
• EMPLOYMENT SITUATION: Full time
• HOURS PER WEEK: 37,5
• LOCATION: University of Salamanca, Salamanca, SPAIN

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS

The candidate should hold an PhD title. RESEARCH FIELDS: Business, Economics and Sustainability: Business Economic, Economic Analysis, Finance and Accounting, Management, Marketing, Water Management any other field related to Economic Management for Sustainability.

Researchers can be from any country in the world, as long as they commit to carry out their research at the University of Salamanca, once hired. If circumstances justify it, it would be possible for the selected candidate to work remotely.

BENEFITS

The candidate selected will be hired under the Spanish General Social Security Scheme, hence he/her will benefit from:

• Full insurance coverage for social health care.
• State pension and unemployment benefits.
• Maternity/paternity leave of 16 weeks for women and for men according to Spanish law. Where applicable, paternity leave could be taken indistinctively by the mother or the father, after the seventh week from the date of birth.

The candidate selected will be hired under the Spanish General Social Security Scheme, hence he/her will benefit from:The selected candidate will receive financial support for a period of 12 months:

• He/she will get 2.536,78 Euros per month.
• He/she will benefit from all research facilities, including databases.

● December 21th, 2023: Application through the  electronic registration office of the University of Salamanca. Any help about the procedure should be required at personas.ime@usal.es
● January 2023: Final results.
● Start of the contract: The selected candidate will be able to choose the start of the contract between the date of final results and March 1st 2024. Note that the delay in the incorporation do not provide the right to extended the contract, that is, if the candidate incorporates March 1st 2024, the contract will be only for ten months.
